OPENING CEREMONY 24 JANUARY 2023

Beginning: 6.30 pm

The BMW IBSF Bobsleigh & Skeleton World Championships will kick off with a big opening ceremony in the finish area in Celerina.

The ceremony will open with a welcome speech by Martin Candinas, President of the National Council, followed by the official address by IBSF President Ivo Ferriani. The marching in of the flags by the Engadin schoolchildren will give the audience goose bumps. Thanks to exciting interviews, the spectators will experience the successful Swiss athletes up close. The multifaceted celebration will be rounded off with a surprise show worth seeing and a concert by Baba Shrimps.

Admission is free. All locals, guests, partners, athletes and volunteers are cordially invited to the unique opening ceremony.

24 January 2023 - BABA SHRIMPS

Opening ceremony: 6.30 pm
Beginning of the concert: 7.15 pm (approx.)

Three friends, a band, one band. For more than 10 years, Adrian Kübler-Tacchi (vocals/guitar), Moritz Vontobel (drums) and Luca Burkhalter (keys) have been going their very own way. The band has broken away from conventions and major labels and has been standing on its own two feet ever since. Their spectacular actions and "concerts in places where there are no concerts" are unique and inspire a wide audience.

 

29 January 2023 - brüder fërn

Beginning: 4.30 pm

Brüder Fërns is a British/Swiss duo from Basel. They convince with a versatile repertoire of oldies, pop, rock, soul, disco and current hits. With acoustic guitars and vocals, the likeable brothers create a unique atmosphere and give rise to extraordinary moments. They know how to interpret the songs soulfully, charismatically, diversely and with a lot of passion.

 

27 January 2023 - Florian Ast

Beginning: 4.30 pm

Hardly anyone has influenced the Swiss music scene in such a diverse and unmistakable way as Florian Ast, and even now you can never predict what he has up his sleeve next. So he surprises us again and again with his broad spectrum of musical and lyrical creations. In 2022, he is planning his next prank. And as you know the thoroughbred musician - he will score points with it. Typically Florian Ast.

 

3 February 2023 - Dabu Fantastic

Beginning: 4.30 pm

With the new album "So Easy" (released 18.03.22), a new chapter in the band's history begins for Dabu Fantastic. "Never before have I been so much with myself, never before have I felt myself and the music more intensely than on this album," enthuses frontman and singer Dabu Bucher, referring to the eleven songs that sound as unexpected as they do extraordinary.

 

5 February 2023 - Cover Jam Trio

Cover songs in their purest form, authentic, powerful and playful. From evergreens to modern chart songs.

The three musicians from Lucerne come up trumps with a lot of flexibility and groove. Many a song takes a surprising turn. The experienced musicians convince with songs from AC/DC to Plush to Robbie Williams. Snotty or romantic, both the young wild ones and the older guard get their money's worth, because there is something for everyone.

28 January 2023 - Stubete Gäng

Beginning: 4.30 pm

Sitting comfortably together in the living room with family and neighbours. Accordion and double bass always at hand. The Stubete has been around for centuries. And now the Stubete Gäng is reinventing it! Father Hassler has been playing music at Stubete since he was a boy. What he and his sons Aurel and Moritz are planning with the Gäng is based on old familiarities and surprises with something completely new. A homeland jam of the modern kind - "ÖRBN LÄNDLR wo tätscht" so to speak!

 

4 February 2023 - Saint City Orchestra

Beginning: 4.30 pm

You only have to see them live once to understand why their reputation as an excellent live band with guaranteed atmosphere precedes them. "At concerts it is important to us to transfer the positive emotions of the music to the audience. A convincing stage show is the basis for us and the interaction with the audience is an essential part.
